Wrong way sign (R5-1a)
A horizontal red rectangle with white WRONG WAY lettering.

What should you do?

Do not continue against traffic. If you have entered the road, slow down and move out of the traffic path as safely as possible. Avoid sudden maneuvers into approaching vehicles.

A useful distinction

This is not a warning about an upcoming turn. It indicates the direction you are taking is prohibited.
