Originally effective: 10 Oct 2022. Last updated: 28 Oct 2026.

1. What these terms cover

These terms describe the agreement for using the DMV One Way website, creating a learner account and buying access to its online learning materials. The service is operated by LILIKOI, ul. Witelona 21, 51-617 Wrocław, Poland; Polish tax identification number (NIP): 8981960458; REGON: 021527521. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using or purchasing the service.

The “service” means the features and learning materials offered at www.dmvoneway.com. A “plan” means the particular package, US state or territory and access period shown in an offer and confirmed for a purchase. Your “account” is your personal learner account.

The customer service and refunds policy explains complaints and refunds. The guarantee of success describes a separate, conditional refund offer. The privacy policy explains personal-data processing; reading it is not consent to every use of personal data.

2. Independent study materials

DMV One Way is an independent educational service. We are not a government agency, a Department of Motor Vehicles, a licensing authority or an accredited driving school. Buying access does not book an official test, satisfy a mandatory driver-education course or issue a permit or licence.

Our questions and practice results are study aids, not official examination questions or proof of eligibility to drive. Rules, fees and examination requirements differ by jurisdiction and can change. Check the current official handbook and instructions of your licensing authority. Actual road signs, traffic controls and applicable law govern real-world driving.

We do not promise a passing result. The guarantee of success is a conditional refund policy, not an assurance that you will pass or reimbursement of official examination fees.

3. Learners and purchasers

You must have the legal capacity required to enter into the relevant agreement. A learner who is below the age of majority may use the service with a parent or legal guardian's permission and involvement as required by applicable law. Where a minor cannot make a binding purchase, the parent or legal guardian must enter into the purchase agreement on the minor's behalf. These terms do not remove a minor's rights to cancel, disaffirm or obtain a refund under applicable law.

The service is intended for people preparing for a driving knowledge examination or refreshing their driving knowledge. It is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 must not create an account or submit personal information. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has provided information so that we can address it.

4. Accounts and technical requirements

Provide an email address you can access and keep your account information accurate. Use only identities you are authorised to use. Protect your email account, login codes, devices and any passkeys. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not share or resell your learner account.

The web service requires an internet connection and a current browser with JavaScript and necessary authentication storage enabled. Some features, payment methods and login providers depend on browser, device, country and provider availability. Try the free sample before purchasing if you are unsure about compatibility. We do not promise offline access or a native mobile application as part of a web purchase unless the offer expressly includes it.

Creating a free account and buying a plan are separate actions. The applicable terms must be made available before the action that enters into the relevant agreement. A practice session or payment-screen visit alone does not establish that a payment succeeded.

5. Plans and access periods

The offer and order summary identify the plan, included features, selected state or territory, duration, price and applicable taxes. Free access has no scheduled expiry while the free service remains available; it is not a promise that the service will operate forever.

Paid plans are one-time purchases for a fixed access period. They do not automatically renew. You will not be charged again merely because an access period ends. A new purchase requires a new payment authorisation.

Access is activated after payment is confirmed by the payment provider. The account displays the applicable access period. Where a purchase extends an existing period for the same state and tier, the new period begins after that existing period ends. Other plan combinations follow the access period disclosed for the order; do not assume that a different tier cancels or converts an existing purchase.

An additional-state discount applies only when its eligibility conditions are met and the server confirms it in the order summary. A purchase does not include every state unless the offer expressly says so. A paid plan's expiry ends the relevant paid access, not an obligation to pay another fee.

An optional GUARANTEE can be selected with each GOLD or PLATINUM purchase for a one-time USD 4 fee, plus any applicable tax, independently of the package tier, duration or additional-state discount. It covers only that purchase and selected state under the guarantee conditions. An approved voluntary claim refunds the covered access package price; the guarantee fee and its associated tax are retained. Mandatory refund rights and the terms offered with earlier purchases are unaffected.

6. Prices and payments

Prices are displayed in US dollars unless the order states otherwise. Review the selected state, plan, duration and final total, including applicable taxes, before paying. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency-conversion or other charges.

Payment methods displayed at checkout are provided by Stripe or PayPal and, where offered, their supported wallets. Their payment-service terms also apply to their own services. Do not send us full card numbers, security codes or login credentials.

Payment confirmation and account access may take time for an asynchronous payment. If payment is pending or you have been charged but access is missing, contact us before paying again. We may correct a pricing error before a purchase is concluded by presenting the corrected offer for your agreement; an error does not authorise an additional charge without your consent.

Refunds, payment reversals and unresolved payment disputes can affect access attributable to the disputed purchase. We will review errors and restore access where appropriate. This does not limit your statutory remedies or your payment-provider dispute rights.

7. Permitted use and intellectual property

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the materials available under your plan for your own study during the applicable access period. Materials are protected by intellectual-property rights belonging to us or our licensors, except where a source or applicable law provides otherwise.

Do not resell accounts, distribute paid question banks, systematically scrape or reproduce the service, bypass access restrictions, interfere with its operation, upload malicious content or use another person's identity. This restriction does not override uses, exceptions or rights permitted by mandatory law. Automated access to a public page must also respect applicable law and the site's published access instructions.

8. Service changes and interruptions

We may maintain the service, correct errors and update learning materials. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a particular uptime percentage. Updates should preserve the essential features promised for an existing paid purchase and any updates required by applicable law.

If a material problem prevents delivery of paid access, contact us for a remedy under the refunds policy and applicable law. We cannot remove your statutory rights by calling an interruption maintenance. If we permanently discontinue paid access before its purchased period ends, we will provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund for the undelivered portion where required.

9. Suspension and account closure

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, serious or repeated misuse, a security threat, a payment reversal or a legal requirement. We will explain the reason and how to request review unless doing so would be unlawful or compromise security. Where appropriate, we will give you an opportunity to correct a breach before ending access.

You may request account closure through the contact form. Closing an account is separate from requesting a refund; tell us if you want both. We may retain records required for accounting, legal obligations and the establishment or defence of claims as explained in the privacy policy. We will not treat a good-faith complaint or privacy request as misuse.

10. Complaints, withdrawals and the guarantee

Use the contact form to report a problem or request a refund. The refunds policy explains the information needed, response times and any applicable withdrawal rights. The guarantee is additional to statutory remedies. Its study conditions do not apply to a statutory claim about defective or undelivered service.

11. Responsibility and mandatory rights

We are responsible for performing our obligations under the agreement and applicable law. You remain responsible for your examination preparation, examination application and conduct on the road. Educational content must not be used as a substitute for an authority's current instructions or safe driving judgement.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intentional misconduct, fraud, death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability or consumer remedy that mandatory law protects. No blanket exclusion of privacy, data-protection or service-conformity rights is intended. A practice score does not create a claim for an examination result beyond the separate refund guarantee and any rights provided by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in law, security, service operation or our offer. We will identify the version and effective date and notify account holders of material changes affecting an ongoing agreement at least 30 calendar days in advance, unless a shorter period is required by law or an urgent security reason. We will explain any shorter period.

The original effective date above records the start of the earlier terms. This revised version applies prospectively from its publication on 28 Oct 2026. New purchase terms apply to purchases made from that publication date. We will not retrospectively remove a refund right or guarantee attached to an existing purchase. Where applicable law requires your agreement to a change, an announcement or continued use alone does not replace that agreement. You may contact us about ending an affected ongoing agreement and any remedy required by law.

13. Governing law and disputes

The agreement is governed by Polish law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you as a consumer. This choice does not deprive you of protections that cannot be excluded under the law otherwise applicable to your agreement.

Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. These terms do not impose exclusive Polish jurisdiction on consumers, mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. Contact us first if you would like help resolving an issue, without losing your right to use a court, regulator or other available dispute process.

14. Language, records and contact

These documents are provided in English. The service interface may also be available in Spanish and French. Interface translations do not change the English document's terms or waive any mandatory language or disclosure requirement.

You can download and save these terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a general waiver of it.

For support, complaints, privacy requests or account closure, use the contact form. Our email address is available through the reveal email control; you may also write to the operator's postal address in section 1. The form is the preferred route, not a restriction on legally valid notices.
