If an intersection is controlled by a STOP sign, YIELD sign or traffic light, you can see a white stop line painted across the lane, and/or two parallel lines painted across the road. This is a crosswalk. If required to by a light, sign of traffic officer- stop before you reach the stop line or the crosswalk.
